This website is operated by Chambail International (trading as HimVeda by Pahadi Roots) ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting pahadiroots.com or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all referenced policies, including our Return, Shipping, and Privacy policies.

If you do not agree to all terms, please do not use this website or our services. These terms apply to all users — browsers, customers, and visitors.

2. Products & Descriptions

• All products are sourced from verified Himalayan farmers, producers, and cooperatives
• Product images are representative — natural products may vary in colour, texture, and appearance
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and inclusive of applicable taxes
• We reserve the right to modify descriptions, pricing, or discontinue any product at any time
• We cannot guarantee that product quality will meet every individual's subjective expectations

3. Orders, Payments & Pricing

• Orders are confirmed upon successful payment
• We accept UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking (via Razorpay)
• Prices may change without notice — changes do not apply to already-confirmed orders
• We reserve the right to cancel orders due to pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud — a full refund will be issued
• We may limit quantities per person or household at our discretion
• You agree to provide accurate, complete billing and delivery information

4. Accounts & User Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized account access
• Provide accurate personal information when registering or ordering
• You may not use this platform for illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes
• You may not transmit viruses, malware, or destructive code
• Breach of these terms may result in immediate account suspension

5. Third-Party Services

• Razorpay handles all payment processing — we never store card details. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy
• Our website is hosted on Vercel with data stored on Supabase (SOC 2 compliant)
• Third-party links on our site are not our responsibility — review their policies before transacting

6. Intellectual Property

All content on pahadiroots.com — text, images, logo, brand name, product descriptions, and design — is the intellectual property of Chambail International. Unauthorised reproduction, duplication, or commercial use without written permission is strictly prohibited.

7. Prohibited Uses

You are prohibited from using this website for:

• Any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
• Violating any applicable Indian or international law
• Infringing intellectual property rights
• Harassing, abusing, or discriminating against others
• Submitting false or misleading information
• Uploading viruses, malware, or malicious code

8. Product Quality Warranty & Disclaimer

Website / Digital Service: Provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free access.

Physical Products — Limited Quality Warranty. We warrant that products dispatched from our facility are:

• Genuine, unadulterated, and fit for consumption as described
• Within their printed expiry/best-before date at time of dispatch, with at least 30% of shelf life remaining
• Free from manufacturing defects visible at the time of packaging
• Stored under appropriate conditions prior to dispatch

This warranty does NOT cover:

• Natural variation in colour, texture, aroma, or taste — inherent to raw, single-origin Himalayan products (honey crystallisation, ghee graininess, saffron colour variation are normal, not defects)
• Changes in flavour or appearance after the printed best-before date
• Products damaged, mishandled, or improperly stored after delivery
• Subjective dissatisfaction with taste, potency, or intensity
• Products where tampering, opening, or alteration is evident

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law including the Consumer Protection Act 2019, Chambail International shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our website or digital services. Liability for physical products is governed by applicable consumer law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chambail International and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of any law, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Accuracy of Information & Errors

We strive to keep product descriptions, pricing, and availability accurate. Errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct typographical errors, pricing mistakes, or inaccuracies, and to cancel any order if information was incorrect — with a full refund.

11. User Submissions & Feedback

If you send us reviews, suggestions, contest entries, or other creative material, you grant Chambail International the right to use, publish, translate, or distribute such content without compensation or obligation of confidentiality. You agree submissions will not violate third-party rights or contain unlawful content.

12. Optional Third-Party Tools

We may provide access to third-party tools (analytics, payment gateways, logistics APIs) on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty. Use of such tools is at your own risk — review their terms before use.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, it shall be severed from the rest — the remaining Terms remain fully valid and enforceable.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to this website at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms. Obligations incurred before termination remain in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Returns, Shipping, and Privacy policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chambail International regarding your use of this website and supersede all prior communications or agreements.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.
