An ancient Himalayan process — slow, natural, and true to how mountain families have always made ghee.

In the highland homes of Himachal, Pahari cows graze among the forests and mountain meadows — where a centuries-old food tradition begins.

Fresh milk from local Himachali Pahari cows becomes the beginning of a slow, traditional transformation.

Curd is patiently churned through the Bilona process, separating butter from buttermilk by a method carried through generations.

The freshly gathered butter is carefully separated — ready for the slow transformation that follows.

Gently simmered over time, the butter transforms into fragrant, golden ghee.

The finished Himachali Pahari Cow Ghee is carefully filled and packed under HimVeda by Pahadi Roots.

The exact origin behind this jar — Himachal Pradesh. See the Journey above for the full account.

Because this is a natural, handcrafted A2 cow ghee, slight variations between batches are normal — not a flaw.
